Tom Hardy co-starred with Charlize Theron in one of the roles in Fury Road. The new prequel of the movie is in progress, and George Mille returns as the writer and director. Many crew members return to the filming, but that can’t be said about the cast. Anya Taylor-Joy will portray a younger version of Imperator Furiosa, a military captain in the Furiosa. Theron played the same role in the movie Fury Road. It was a remake of the original Mad Max film series from the 1970s and 1980s.

Tom Hardy starred opposite Charlize Theron in leading roles in the movie Fury Road. The actor portrayed the character Max Rockatansky originally played by Mel Gibson, in the original trilogy from 1979 to 1985. The character of Imperator Furiosa was included in 2015 with Theron. There was news of a fallout between the two actors while shooting the film.

The tension between the stars came to light in February 2022 after the launch of the book Blood, Sweat & Chrome: The Wild And True Story Of Mad Max: Fury Road. The author Kyle Buchanan added interviews with the cast and crew in the book. The 47-year-old actress recalled how the turn of the event between her and the Venom star turned them into two quarreling parents that the other actors had to put up with.

During the interview with Vanity, the Atomic Blonde actress said, “I don’t want to rehash things, but it came out of a really bad moment where things kind of came to blows between me and Tom.”

The Revenant star has been on record regretting behaving aggressively with his Mad Max co-star. The actor while talking to the New York Times columnist said,

“In hindsight, I was in over my head in many ways. What [Charlize] needed was a better, perhaps more experienced, partner in me. That’s something that can’t be faked. I’d like to think that now that I’m older and uglier, I could rise to that occasion.”

The American actress was graceful and kind towards her colleague and accepted some of the responsibility while emphasizing Hardy for taking up such a big role.
