During an interview with Cosmopolitan, Sandra Bullock was asked if a man and a woman with “great chemistry” can be “just friends.” Sharing her thoughts on the topic, the actress shared that she has a “hard time being just friends.” The Lost City star shared that if both of them are single and are not hurting anyone, they should be able to get along.

She also pointed out that the same should not be followed if a person is committed to someone. The Proposal star further shared that the movie sets can be “breeding grounds” for this kind of thing if the person has a “good set of rules going into it.” She also described the use of “just” before referring to someone as her friend.

Talking about her Murder By Numbers co-star, Ryan Gosling, Bullock said that calling him “just friends” would be a lie. While the actress claimed that it’s not easy for her to be just friends, she has developed a very close and deep friendship with her ex, Matthew McConaughey. Sandra Bullock met Matthew McConaughey while working on Joel Schumacher’s 1996 film, A Time to Kill. They hardly addressed their relationship in public and described each other as friends. However, they parted ways after dating for two years. But that was not the end of their relationship.

Bullock and McConaughey remained good friends with each other even after their split. And during her interview with Cosmopolitan, the Bird Box star shared the secret behind her friendship with The Gentlemen star. “It’s the work we both put in,” she shared.
