“I kind of ducked my head”: Margot Robbie Didn’t Want to Get Caught After Pissing Off Clint Eastwood

Margot Robbie is the live-action Barbie of Hollywood. She is one of Hollywood’s top leading ladies and is well-known for her roles in a variety of genre films. Robbie is popular for portraying a range of characters and is currently the talk of the town for her upcoming film, Barbie. The film starring the 33-year-old actress alongside Ryan Gosling is one of the highly anticipated films of the summer.

Margot Robbie had an awkward encounter with Clint Eastwood

Margot Robbie is a famous personality in the entertainment industry. She has created a buzz among fans with her upcoming film Barbie. The actress has had a successful career in the Hollywood industry and secured Oscar nominations for films like  I, Tonya, and Bombshell.

Actors have had many embarrassing moments in their life. However, the 33-year-old actress’s awkward moment came during the 2015 Oscar ceremony. Robbie, in an interview, revealed how she had an embarrassing encounter with Clint Eastwood.

Eastwood is a legendary actor in the industry. He had a career in acting that dates back to the 1960s. The Suicide Squad actress had a run-in with the Hollywood heavyweight at the Oscars, and she kind of pissed him off. While recounting the moment, the Barbie star said,

“I went backstage to present an award and afterwards did an interview. They gave me this little bottle of champagne for the interview and I went back to my seat. We were in an ad break and I opened it and it popped really loudly.”

She explained how the 93-year-old star was glaring at her. She added,

“Clint Eastwood was sitting right in front of me and he turned around and glared at me. And I kind of ducked my head.”

Margot Robbie was confused by the glare as she believed it was the normal facial expression the actor usually has, or he wanted some of the champagne.

Margot Robbie’s Barbie is set to hit theaters soon

The upcoming film Barbie has fans going crazy, as the movie is days away from hitting theaters. Greta Gerwig directed the 2023 fantasy comedy film Barbie, which she co-wrote with Noah Baumbach. After numerous computer-animated direct-to-video and streaming television movies based on Mattel’s Barbie fashion dolls, this is the first live-action Barbie movie.

The film stars Robbie as Barbie, while Ryan Gosling plays the role of Ken. The film follows the journey of Barbie as she gets expelled from Barbieland for not meeting perfection standards. She sets out on a real-world experience where she learns that there is more to life than what is acceptable.

The movie aims to provide an engaging tale that explores the struggles and inspiring journey of its lead character in a visually arresting and enjoyable way.

Barbie will be released on July 21, 2023, in theaters.
