The singer went on to announce this on Twitter, writing,

Further adding,
“Today, we begin a new chapter in the pursuit of their happiness. Thanks to everyone who surfed the waves with me in Barcelona, the place where I learned that friendship is longer than love.”
During an interview with RAC1, Gerard Pique spoke about his priority post his separation from the singer. The celebrated footballer went on to say-
“I don’t feel like talking anymore. I just want my children to be well.”
According to the rumors, Gerard Pique’s mother also knew about his alleged affair. Shakira slammed her ex-mother-in-law when she got to know about her involvement in the entire cheating saga.
