Paltrow has used this word for a while since 2014. She confessed to getting this phrase from philosopher Dr. Habib Sadeghi and his wife, Dr. Shahrzad. In an interview, the actress revealed the meaning of the phrase. It means breaking up with minimal acrimony.

She got real with her 8 million followers and answered of being on good terms with all her exes. She posted the answer on her story saying, “Pretty much. I really believe in conscious uncoupling.”
The 50-year-old actress is using this phrase since 2014, after her breakup with Chris Martin. The businesswomen also wrote,
“When you spend meaningful time with someone,’ she wrote, ‘it’s nice to have it morph into friendship. I don’t want to have bad blood with anyone, ever (if I can help it).”
Paltrow had a friendly divorce from Chris Martin in 2014, with whom she shares two children. From 1994 to 1997, she dated Brad Pitt, their romance ended with a broken engagement. The actress also had a turbulent relationship with Ben Affleck in the late 1990s.
