Ben Affleck has sought treatment for his alcoholism numerous times throughout the years. Before he was married to Jennifer Garner, the issue already existed. He visited a treatment facility in 2001, 2017, and 2018. The 50-year-old actor ought to have known better than to blame his alcoholism on his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Garner. The actor claimed that if he were married to Jennifer Garner, he would “still be drinking” during an interview on The Howard Stern Show. The worst part of all of this is, that the actress had nothing but positive comments for her ex-husband and was even supportive of his recent marriage to Jennifer Lopez.

The actor has had quite an impact on his life due to his alcoholism during his time being married to Jennifer Garner. The actor has been caught multiple times during the promotion of the films where plays the role of Batman. There were even two pictures that became memes that the internet used to represent a feeling of being tired and giving up. Even though Ben Affleck is a talented actor, the time period where he appeared to be completely depressed also injected itself into his role of the caped crusader as his performance for his version of Bruce Wayne clearly indicates a man who is tired and has been through the thick of it for quite some time.
The actor blames his ex-wife for leading him into becoming an alcoholic
Ben Affleck made an appearance on Tuesday’s Howard Stern show and talked about him being an alcoholic in the past. In the interview, the actor said, “Part of why I started drinking was that I was trapped.” pointing fingers at his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. “I was like, ‘I can’t leave because of my kids, but I’m not happy, what do I do?’ ” he continued. The actor used his children and marriage as a sorry excuse for his mess claiming that he drank because he felt chained down.
The actor has pulled something of this sort in the past as well when he told in his speech that marriage to Jennifer Garner was “work”.

When it comes to actors who have trash-talked about their previous marriages that clearly did not deserve, Ben Affleck may have just beaten Brad Pitt for being the coldest celebrity ex. When talking about his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, the actor stated the following in 2011:
“It became very clear to me that … I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”
Since Brad Pitt attributed his deep sadness and subsequent affair with Angelina Jolie to his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, in Parade magazine, this post-divorce interview is the cruelest since that time.
