The ex-wife of the late legendary Rockstar Priscilla Presley is back in the media spotlight for filmmaker Sofia Coppola’s biographical saga based on her life and Elvis Presley. Euphoria actor Jacob Elordi will be playing the character of the American music icon and actor Cailee Spaeny will be portraying the titular character Priscilla Presley in the movie.

Priscilla premiered at the reputed Venice Film Festival recently. The movie got a seven-minute standing ovation on the Italian grounds. During an interview with a reputed media outlet, Priscilla Presley spoke about her relationship with her late ex-husband.
Priscilla Presley On Being Intimate With The Legendary Rockstar Elvis Presley
Pricilla Presley was only 14 when she met the love of his life Elvis Presley, who later went on to become her husband too. According to a video obtained by the famous media outlet TMZ, the American businesswoman spoke about the intimate details of her relationship with the late Suspicious Minds singer and the uphill task of convincing her parents to their marriage. She said-
“It was very difficult for my parents to understand that Elvis would be so interested in me and why. And I really do think because I was more of a listener. Elvis would pour his heart out to me in every way in Germany: his fears, his hopes, the loss of his mother — which he never, ever got over. “
While talking about being intimate with her late ex-husband, she said-
“I was the person who really sat there to listen and to comfort him. That was really our connection. Even though I was 14, I was actually a little bit older in life, not in numbers, and that was the attraction.”
While talking about the huge age gap between her and Elvis Presley, she pointed out
“People think, ‘Oh, it was sex, it was this.’ Not at all. I never had sex with him. He was very kind, very soft, very loving. But he also respected the fact I was only 14 years old. We were more in mind and thought and that was our relationship.”
The ex-couple got married in 1967, had a baby girl named Lisa Marie Presley and legally separated in 1973. But they supported each other even after their much-hyped divorce.

The grand reception and the seven-minute standing ovation for Sofia Coppola’s biographical drama, at the Venice Film Festival moved Priscilla Presley to tears. The famous wife of the reputed music icon took center stage when she was asked about what was it like to see her life being portrayed on the screen. Priscilla Presley said-
“It’s very difficult to sit and watch a film about you, about your life, about your love. Sofia did an amazing job. She did her homework, we spoke a couple of times and I really put everything out for her that I could.”
While talking about the relationship dynamics between her and her late ex-husband, the actor said-
“I didn’t know why he put so much trust in me, but he did. And I never, ever, ever told anyone that I was seeing him, and that was another issue that he loved, is the fact that I never gave him up in any way. I never told anyone at school that I was seeing him. So, we built a relationship, and then our relationship went on until I left.”
Priscilla is written, co-produced, and directed by Sofia Coppola. It is based on the 1985 memoir Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon.
