Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, the former hosts of GMA3 started their relationship after filing for divorce from their respective partners. While their sweet romance was going great, their secret eventually became public which led to their temporary hiatus from the network. Soon after the news broke out, ABC network started their investigation about the same. With things continuing to embroil, the duo officially departed from the show.
Since their exit, several guest hosts have been working on the show. Even, ABC President, Kimberly Godwin has announced to have permanent replacements for the former hosts real soon.
In a memo to staff, she wrote,
“I know that this has been a distraction for so many of us, but let’s not forget all the great work that continues to make ABC News the #1 news network in America, and that’s because of you.”
While nothing is final as of yet, fans have already declared their preference for a permanent host on the show.
Fans Want Gio Benitez to Become a Permanent Host for The GMA3 Show
The 37-year-old Gio Benitez has been filling in as a guest host along with Rhiannon Ally in Good Morning America 3 since the new couple’s exit from the network. He is garnering quite public attention due to his personality which is why fans want him and Ally to be the next co-hosts of the talk show.
In a recent Instagram post, Benitez was discussing the impact of using social media alongside Ally and DeMarco Morgan. Many comments on the post indicated that fans would love to keep them going on for the show.
One fan wrote, “We are liking this team- hope ABC keeps it going.”
Another mentioned, “You both make a great team and I hope to see you and @rhiannonally permanently anchor @abcgma3 together.”
A third shared about being upset when the publicized couple left the show however mentioned how the former’s personality won their heart.
“Gio, I was so upset when they removed Amy & TJ, but you are an AMAZING host & I LOVE watching you on GMA 3!! You are so positive & charismatic & it is contagious! You are very committed & dedicated!! You should DEFINITELY be the permanent male host!!”
They have already worked together in the past which is why their reunion is quite special for fans as well. Meanwhile, the new pair has been quite open about their romance with each other. They were spotted in several PDAs when they went to Mexico on a vacation.
