Jennifer Lopez missed out on wearing her favorite dress for her wedding in 2022. The meaning of her wedding dress would have been more poetic, as it was none other than the wedding dress that she wore in her movie with Ben Affleck, Jersey Girl. However, her wish remained unfulfilled.
Lopez’s wedding was quite stressful, as it was planned in a hurry. In an interview with Variety, the actor-singer debunked the rumors about her wedding dress, as many thought that she wore the exact dress from Jersey Girl. She said,
No, that’s not true. I wish it was. I wish I did have that dress. I don’t have that dress. No, this was a different dress that I had.
Lopez further clarified that although she had many wedding dresses as she was doing movie promotions for Marry Me and Shotgun Wedding at that time, she chose not to wear any of them. Lopez said,
Believe it or not, I was doing so much press for Marry Me or Shotgun Wedding or one of those, so I had all these wedding dresses in my house. And when we, at the spur of the moment, decided to get married that day, I just had a dress. It’s not from a movie. I never wore it in a movie.
Although Lopez could not fulfill her wish, their official engagement in April 2022 and their Las Vegas wedding just three months later made it clear that the couple seemed to find a connection once again.

The love story between Lopez and Affleck has gone through everything. It all started when the two first met in 2002, and then their relationship went so fast that they had to get engaged in the eye of the public later that year. However, they got separated in 2004.
