Despite the discomfort, the Skims founder said in the Vogue feature that she loved how it made her look, expressing, “I’ll feel so snatched, I won’t even be able to communicate to you how snatched I feel.”
She also talked about another surprising detail in her outfit: the custom Maison Margiela thong that she wore under the sheer skirt. Designer Galliano added it for practical reasons, to make sure everything stayed “covered” and there were no wardrobe malfunctions. The LA native also wore special shoes with clear soles and no heels, designed to keep the skirt from getting caught. Walking in them was tough, she said, comparing it to balancing like a ballerina.

Despite the challenges, Kim Kardashian believes her outfit fit the ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ theme perfectly. She explained that it showed a woman who had a magical night but overslept and needed to rush out.
As for the controversial cardigan, the entrepreneur said it was inspired by her real-life responsibilities, like taking her kids to school. She said in the same Vogue video, “It’s like the real-life me when I go to an event and I have to make it home by 6 a.m. to get to carpool. Real life happens.”
