Channing Tatum and his now ex-wife Jenna Dewan competed against each other in the second season of Lip Sync Battle. The actor wanted to make his wife jealous and thought of bringing Beyoncé on the show to perform with him. He successfully made that happen and met the singer for the first time. However, the Magic Mike XXL hunk called the night crazy as he struggled a lot to get Queen Bey on the show.

The 43-year-old revealed on The Ellen Show, the struggles he went through to meet Beyoncé. According to the video posted on YouTube of the show, Tatum said,

“I won’t even tell you what I had to do to essentially get her assistant’s phone number. Or text her. I was texting her. I didn’t even have the intention of her coming.”

His ex-wife Jenna Dewan arranged for Paula Abdul to join her onstage for the friendly rivalry. The Step Up actor assumed he wouldn’t have access to the real Beyoncé in time to bring her out and instead bring a cardboard cutout of the singer. Later, the actor ended up meeting the 42-year-old while dressed up like her. On The Ellen Show, he said,

“I ended up having to meet Beyoncé doing Beyoncé and that was definitely the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done.”

The performance was memorable as the Hateful Eight actor took to the stage wearing a blonde wig and a bustier-style top, performing Run the World (Girls) with Queen Bey by his side. Channing Tatum revealed the singer left immediately after her performance, and they had a very short interaction, but she later texted the actor.
