Reality TV personality Larsa Pippen has spoken candidly about her separation from NBA player Scottie Pippen and how it has impacted her ability to find love in the future. In the first season of Real Housewives of Miami, she was a happily married woman to Scottie Pippen. However, as fate would have it, Larsa Pippen relocated to Los Angeles after her divorce from Scottie Pippen and grew close to Kim Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The reality star has made a good bond with the fashionista and has climbed up to a better vantage point in her life after her divorce from the NBA player, as she has started to look forward to dating and setting a much healthier and realistic expectation out of her future partners.
Larsa Pippen and Scottie Pippen’s history
On December 15, 2021, Larsa Pippen and Scottie Pippen’s divorce was finally finalized after three years. They decided to share physical and legal custody of their two youngest children in January 2022. There were undoubtedly some hiccups along the way to their divorce. Last season of the Real Housewives, the divorce was still proceeding. In retaliation for Larsa Pippen’s attempt to get Scottie Pippen to sell their Miami home, he insisted that their youngest child, Sophia, return to Los Angeles.
“I was traumatized. If he doesn’t get his way, he punishes me. He’s like The Punisher.” said the reality star when talking about her ex-husband to whom she was married for 23 years.
NBA player Scottie Pippen had it all
“I feel like I am kind of mentally in a place of, like, I was married to a really famous guy that was really cute, that had a good body that was really successful that gave me four gorgeous kids.”
Even though the NBA star had a lot of qualities to offer, if it comes under the price of acting like a “Punisher“, it is probably safe to say that Larsa Pippen is much better off being separated from that man. Now the reality star has the chance to move forward in life and choose a better partner to spend the rest of her life with.
Lowered expectations may yield better dating results
“So, where the hell are you gonna find a guy that can like, fill in – it doesn’t have to be all of those, but like, a few of those boxes. It’s kind of hard. I thought it was going to be easier, to be honest with you.”
Larsa Pippen seems to have grasped the reality of the situation she is in. Having such high expectations after dating an NBA player is something that is close to being unrealistic and arguably a fantasy to find a partner that can tick the boxes of being good-looking, successful, famous, and cute twice without pulling a miracle.
“Once I started dating, I’m like – I’m gonna have to come to the realization that I’m not gonna get it all. I had a great run. I had a great relationship.” It seems that the Real Housewives star has come to terms with dating and has set more realistic expectations for her future dates.
