‘Famous actor’ threatened to r*pe Elliot Page
Juno actor Elliot Page, in his upcoming memoir Pageboy, wrote a chapter that is titled, ‘Famous A—hole at a Party’ which goes into details about him being at a birthday party back in 2014 in Los Angeles. Page said that the famous actor told him that he was not gay, adding that it does not exist and he is just afraid of men.
The actor continues that the famous actor who he refers to as his acquaintance told him, “I’m going to f—k you to make you realize you aren’t gay”, and a few days later, when they met again at the gym, the acquaintance said to him, “I don’t have a problem with gay people I swear”, to which Page replied to him that maybe he does.
During a recent conversation with People magazine, Elliot Page described why he decided to put that very incident in his memoir. He explained, “I put that story in the book because it’s about highlighting the reality, the s–t we deal with, and what gets sent to us constantly, particularly in environments that are predominantly cis and heterosexual. How we navigate that world where you either have more extreme, overt moments like that.”
Page also said, “I’m purposely not sharing his name. But he will hear about this and know it’s him.” He shared that some version of the incident is something that has happened throughout his life and happens to a lot of queer and trans people. But these are the moments they don’t talk about or are expected to brush off, which is actually an awful thing to do.
Elliot Page’s painful relationship with a closeted female co-star
In his memoir, Page also disclosed one relationship where he described the person as Ryan, stating that he worked with that person in a movie and they would hold hands while they were on sets but would pretend to be friends when in public. Page noted that at the time when they would leave hotels through different doors and would not look at each other in public, which was painful.
He wrote, “Ultimately, I do think she loved me. We loved each other and that was very real in our bubble. It was fantastic. You know, it was really beautiful. I admired her and how she inspired me in many ways. But feeling hidden was far too painful. That was impossible and not a sustainable relationship at all. And it taught me that I was not going to do that again.”
The actor also acknowledged that some of his friends did not even know that he was in a relationship at the time and they were in a relationship for a decent amount of time. Adding time, which is considered to be the next level.

Elliot Page mentions that powerful people choose what stories are to be told
During the conversation with People, Page mentioned that it is the subtle jokes or incidents like the ones where people tell trans-LGBTQ+ people that nothing sort of that exists that they have to encounter. He adds that the powerful people in the industry are the ones who choose which narrative to put out.
Page lastly mentioned that these people are the ones who choose what stories to be told in the form of creating content for the audience to witness across the globe and set a certain narrative. He also said that he felt that he did not exist before his transition.
The actor mentioned, “I realize I look different to people now who’ve known me from before, but I’m thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, there’s that person I’ve seen but never thought I’d actually get to see.’ It catches me by surprise sometimes.” He continues that when a friend takes a picture and he takes a quick look at it he feels an electric thrill because he finds it funny like he is something new but not really.
