Her performance even prompted Hollywood stars Ethan Hawke to reminisce about past moments with the Grammy-winning singer. The singer gave a nostalgia tour of her hit songs as she took the stage for the halftime show during the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rihanna also revealed her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime performance. And she is thankful that the show went well. However, The Black Phone star had to apologize to his son after Rihanna’s stunning performance.
Ethan Hawke Apologizes to His Son For Ruining His Moment
After Rihanna’s stunning performance at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, Ethan Hawke shared some snaps with the singer from 2015. The images include Rihanna, Hawke, and his son, Levon Hawke. While the first image shows 13-year-old Levon Hawke sitting next to the Umbrella singer, the following images show the Before Sunrise star next to Rihanna in a conversation with her.
Ethan Hawke changed seats with his son during the 2015 NBA All-Star Game at Madison Square Garden, to sit next to the Diamonds singer. As Hawke shared the images on his Instagram, he apologized to his son for ruining his moment with the singer.
“After Rihanna’s brilliant halftime performance, I’m hoping my son can find it in his heart to forgive a Dad for taking his moment,” he captioned the post. Although his son has not responded to his father’s apology, Gwyneth Paltrow and Andy Cohen had a lot to say about the pictures.
Cohen simply commented, “BEST PICTURE.” However, Paltrow, who starred alongside Hawke in the 1998 film Great Expectations, asked her fellow actor to sit straight as he is sitting “next to Rihanna!” The singer’s headliner was her first live performance in four years. She has also become the first pregnant woman to headline the Super Bown halftime show.
Ethan Hawke Wraps Up Filming For his Upcoming Movie Wildcat
After spending more than a month in Kentucky, Ethan Hawke has finished filming his upcoming film Wildcat. The film follows the American novelist Flannery O’Connor’s struggles to publish her first novel. The Moon Knight actor has directed and co-written the film, which features his daughter and the Stranger Things star, Maya Hawke as the lead.
Hawke has reportedly utilized Kentucky for his film as the filmmaker shot all over the area for his project. The filming for Wildcat wrapped up last weekend, and the makers celebrated it with a private party at Louisville bar. Along with Maya Hawke, the film also features Steve Zahn, Laura Linney, Philip Ettinger, and Vincent D’Onofrio. No update has been revealed regarding the release of the film.
