Jeremy Renner, best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surprised Jimmy Kimmel with his plans for the future during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! After being seriously hurt in a snowplow accident on New Year’s Day, Jeremy Renner spoke with Disney+ about his new four-part series, Rennervations, and his dedication to helping children from low-income areas.

Despite Kimmel’s skepticism, Renner surprised him by taking his daughter and her friends to Six Flags during spring break despite his recent injuries. Jeremy Renner defended himself by saying he only rode pain-free rides, but the talk show host was concerned for the Hawkeye actor’s well-being.

Jeremy Renner was critically injured in a snowplow accident at the beginning of the new year. Regardless, Renner has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity by returning to his busy film and television work schedule. The actor discussed how rehabilitation had altered his outlook on the talk show.

Renner has over 35 broken bones but counts himself lucky to be alive. He described the severity of the wounds and how they kept finding more as time passed. Nonetheless, Renner kept a positive outlook despite the severity of his injuries. Given his recent injuries, Kimmel thought the actor’s recent visit to Six Flags was risky.

The Hollywood celeb defended himself by saying he avoided any rides that might hurt him, but Kimmel said Renner was mocking his injury. 

“Jeremy, you’re making a mockery of this injury, you really are! It’s like you’re taunting God. You’re, like, threatening him, ‘Try it again!’”

Renner responded earnestly, promising his injuries were real and he was “in tons of pain.”

“I promise you, I’m in tons of pain. I promise you.”

Jeremy Renner further told Kimmel that even though he was hurting, the actor was determined to make his daughter’s spring break memorable.

Rennervations: Reimagining Vehicles for Children

Rennervations is a new Disney+ series starring Jeremy Renner, in which he collaborates with industry professionals to transform massive vehicles into mind-blowing creations that help children and communities in need. Renner’s willingness to help children is clear in the show when he says, “I’ll do anything for a kid.” 

“I’ll do anything for a kid. I believe it is a birthright to have opportunities in life. They’re the future of our planet. I’ll go to the nth degree to give them opportunities.”

The show’s promotional material shows Renner and his team converting a bus into a mobile computer lab and a garbage truck into a skate park. The show is billed as a hopeful and motivational examination of how imagination and creativity can improve people’s lives.

Jeremy Renner’s commitment to helping children is admirable despite the dangers he may face. In addition to Rennervations, Renner has worked on several other initiatives with the same goal of improving children’s lives.

The actor’s a big fan of the Make-A-Wish foundation and has helped make terminally ill kids’ wishes come true. He has also volunteered for The B Fund, which provides financial aid to families with seriously ill children.

Renner’s dedication to assisting youth goes beyond his volunteer efforts with nonprofits. In addition to being a hardworking man, he is a doting father to his daughter Ava, with who he frequently takes on exciting adventures.
