Jada Pinkett Smith has always been vocal about her relationship with Will Smith. So much so, that discussing her love life on Red Table Talk, coined her as an assertive woman. However, letting go of all speculations, the 51-year-old sat for an interview to discuss her marriage. Throwing light upon arguments that are the part and parcel of any relationship, Smith recalled the rules, she and her husband agreed upon.
Admitting her emotional nature, Pinkett Smith mentioned finding the most suitable partner in Will Smith. Praising how her husband handles her temperament, despite being of similar nature, the actress confided their civilized approach to fights. “We learned very early in our relationship that we are two volatile people, and we could not argue like that. And now we’ve gotten past that point. We disagree, but we don’t argue,” Smith explained.
The actress recalled an incident where she screamed at her husband to “shut the f*ck up” in front of a handful of people. Later explained, how the Emancipation actor banned the use of profanity mid-arguments after that incident. In fact, the actor almost decided to walk away from their relationship, until his wife agreed to the compromise.
Jada Pinkett Smith’s Death-Defying Stunt For Love
After putting her vulnerable self in a bad light, Jada Pinkett Smith recalled an incident where Will Smith was upset. Discussing the instance from earlier in their relationship, the 51-year-old mentioned, the actor was upset after an argument and Pinkett Smith had to go through extreme measures to prove her love for him. Caring less about her life and safety, the actress took an outlandish step which she later labeled as a “crazy thing” to do.
“I jumped off a roof into a pool while we were in Jamaica, not knowing I could have broken my neck! I was very out of my mind, and Will was mad at me.” Jada Pinkett Smith explained. Further proceeding with the incident, she stated, “He was sitting in a lounge chair when he saw me fall out of the sky screaming, ‘I love you, Will,’” After witnessing such a death-defying stunt, Will Smith was ought to give up on his anger. “He tried his best to stay mad but he couldn’t. He cracked up,” the actress shared.
Despite being the power couple of Hollywood and having such a beautiful relationship, even the two gave up multiple times. Coming inches close to divorce, the pair managed to hold onto their love. Thus, it seems their relationship is indeed stronger than ever.
