Sadly, the marriage didn’t last long, and the Mr. and Mrs. Smith actress filed for divorce in 2016.

Married or not, Angelina Jolie has always had plenty of admirers. She met one of them when she was still married to actor Billy Bob Thornton. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she said that she recalled the incident, saying:
“When I was married to Billy, I met a man I never slept with. We had dinner once, and it ended up being, ‘Look, I’m married. I can’t sleep with you. I can’t even finish dinner, ‘cause it’s uncomfortable.’”
Angelina Jolie had also been accused of having sabotaged Brad Pitt’s marriage with Jennifer Aniston because they had worked together. However, the actress once insisted that she would not be able to look at herself in the face if she were to ever sleep with a married man. This was because her own father actor Jon Voight had cheated on his wife with another woman.
Angelina Jolie Gave The Mystery Man Another Chance
The mysterious man who had previously been interested in a married Angelina Jolie was lucky enough to get a call from the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star three years later because following her divorce from Thornton, she was getting bored of having to spend all her time with her son Maddox who was only three years old at the time.
In the interview with Vanity Fair, Jolie said:
“Three years later I called him and asked if he wanted to be lovers, and it was one of these phone calls of just, you know, a single mom sleeping with a baby and just, I’ll call a man up and ask if he wants to be my lover. We spent a few dinners kind of discussing the details of how this was going to happen. It was actually fascinating.”

Being a mother is difficult as it is and being a single mother only adds to the pressure so it seems that Jolie was just looking for someone who could give her company. However, about two months after they started seeing each other, the man realized that Jolie only intended to have him as a lover with no strings attached. To date, the identity of this man has not been revealed.
