Jada Pinkett Smith invited a special guest host for Wednesday’s Red Table Talk about “toxic forgiveness”: Will Smith’s first wife, Sheree Zampino. The Daytime Emmy Award recipient famously shared some of her darkest secrets with her viewers in a recent episode of her Facebook show. Both the current and ex-wife of Will Smith admitted openly that their relationship was “messy” at first, as The Matrix actress started seeing Smith on the heels of Zampino’s 1995 divorce filing, and both women had “fiery” personalities.
“They take trips and I’m not there – they do their thing. Not together romantically but if he’s going on a book tour and [Will’s] mom is going and his sister, it’s fun for me to watch them enjoy each other. It takes time though – we’re not having trouble, everyone.”
The two actresses today are a tight-knit blended family, with Jada Smith admitting she loves seeing Zampino’s post-divorce bond with Will Smith, and revealing that the exes “take trips” together when she’s not there — which she knows will start “rumors”.

The two Hollywood actresses appeared on the recent episode of Red Table Talk on Facebook Watch with co-host of the show, Adrienne Banfield Norris where they had a conversation about how their relationship has evolved over the years, reports People magazine.”We have developed a really nice sisterhood, but it hasn’t been easy along the way,” Pinkett Smith admitted while seated next to Zampino at the table. “Sometimes we did have to fake it to make it,” she added, “We have developed a really nice sisterhood, but it hasn’t been easy along the way.”
Sheree Zampino also talked about how the Smiths- Jada and Will, “are better as co-parents than we were as husband and wife. We came together to have Trey, it took the two of us to make him, but then we shifted.” Zampino credited Pinkett Smith for always treating Trey Smith well, and expressed how her heart was always right towards her son, wanting the best for him.

Sheree Zampino was married to Will, 54, from 1992 to 1995, with the pair sharing a son, Trey Smith, 29, before Jada Smith started a romance with the actor shortly after their separation. Admitting Will Smith had to step in during an awkward incident over young Smith’s behavior led to a spat, Pinkett Smith said she “crossed the line” with Zampino.
The Matrix actress added: “I can remember some times that I really crossed the line. There was one time Trey had a play date and he misbehaved. “I was like, ‘Uh uh, we gotta sit down, we gotta talk about this, Trey can’t be behaving this way’.” To this, Zampino added: “Let me give you my version. I literally walked in the house just to drop him off and as soon as I walked in, Jada was like, ‘We gotta talk about his behaviour!’ Pinkett Smith then explained how it was a lot of interviewing and how things got messy.
