“I’m the lucky one because you chose me”: Meghan Markle Says She Lost It After Everyone Disrespected Her Romance With Prince Harry With Mean Remarks
Meghan Markle recently opened up about her early dating days with Prince Harry on a podcast with Mindy Kaling. The Duchess of Sussex first started dating Prince Harry in 2016 and was later married on May 19, 2018. Markle was in the news recently after she compared her wedding day to the release of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. The statement was not received well by the citizens of South Africa and Nelson Mandela’s family.

Meghan Markle hits back at People for Gendered Remarks
On Tuesday’s episode of Mindy Kaling’s Archetypes podcast, Markle opened up about her early phase of dating Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex described what it was like when she got engaged to Prince Harry. Markle said, “Everyone was like, ‘Oh, my God, you’re so lucky he chose you!'” After hearing it a lot of times, the Suits actress got mad as she “chose him too.”

Meghan Markle was nothing but grateful to her husband for supporting her through this period.
Prince Harry Supported his wife Through these Stereotyped Opinions of People
Prince Harry supported her by saying that people have got it wrong. He said, “I’m the lucky one because you chose me.” Markle further said that these kinds of remarks from people make you think that “you’re waiting for somebody to tell you that you’re good enough.” Whereas the general approach should be that “you’re good enough on your own.”
Mindy Kaling also discussed her decision to raise her children without a father with the Duchess of Sussex. Kaling said that single parenting made her emotional. She further added that she knows how much of a vital figure a father is in children’s lives. But “it wasn’t our family’s lot in life,” Kaling added. Markle praised Mindy Kaling by calling her family perfect.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently on a tour of Europe and were in Manchester a few days ago to attend the One Young World Summit.
