Finn Jones, who reprised the titular role in Iron Fist has reacted to the sudden cancellation of Luke Cage by Netflix and Marvel on Friday. This happened one week after Iron Fist got canceled by Marvel.

Jones took to Instagram to share a picture of Danny Rand combining his fist with the super strong fist of Luke Cage.

Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and star Mike Colter are yet to speak about the cancellation. Luke Cage will be not returning for future episodes, as stated in a joint statement by Netflix and Marvel although neither mentioned the reason for canceling the show. It was earlier reported that Luke Cage Season 3 has been given a green light.

“Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series,”

The statement read.

Many fans also believe that the cancellation of the show could mean that the two heroes will come together in Heroes for Hire.

Marvel TV Head Jeph Loeb previously admitted that the fate of all the series lies with Netflix and Marvel has no say in it.

“Unlike the movie studio, which can announce a Captain Marvel movie will be out in 2019, the television studio will always be beholden to our networks,”

Loeb told EW.
