Amidst the release of Anybody But You, Sydney Sweeney shared a horrifying incident from the sets of her upcoming film. The White Lotus actress mentioned that a spider bit her right wrist while shooting a scene.
In the scene, available in the official trailer on YouTube, Sweeney touches her co-star, Glen Powell’s back, and finds something crawling over there releasing that it’s a spider. She throws it immediately, while Glen freaks out, removes his shorts, and throws them from the peak where they went for trekking.
Sydney Sweeney Mentioned That “Nobody Called Cut” When The Spider Bit Her

Recently, in an interview with TODAY, Sydney elaborated on the incident, where she mentioned that “nobody called cut” when the spider bit her. The Euphoria actress revealed, “Well, the spider bit me in the middle of this scene but nobody called cut because they thought I was just making a very dramatic, interesting choice in this scene, and Glen was the only one who finally caught on.”
She added Powell was the only one who realized actually what happened. He verified that Sweeney was bitten by a giant huntsman spider while filming in Australia. Powell also mentioned that there was a “different tone“ to Sweeney’s voice when the spider bit her.
Furthermore, the actress clarified that she took some medications as she didn’t have to get hospitalized, and continued working on the film.
Sweeney and Powell Address Their Dating Rumors
Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell were asked if there was anything romantic between them as they were filming a rom-com. On this Powell replied that there is nothing as such but they “do love each other,” and calls Sweeney the ”most spectacular human” he has ever met.

Anyone But You, directed by Will Gluck, is known for his films like Easy A(2010), Friends with Benefits(2011), and Annie(2014). The film is about two people ‘Ben’ and ‘Bea,’ played by Powell and Sydney respectively. They meet on a vacation and pretend to be in love with each other as Bea’s parents try to match her up with her ex. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on the 22nd of this month.

Sydney began her acting career with television shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, and Pretty Little Liars. Later, she appeared in the Netflix film Everything Sucks! which surrounded the lives of two groups of high school students in Oregon in 1996.
