“It just makes you never want to do it”: The View’s Joy Behar Shocked after Wednesday Star Christina Ricci Revealed Hollywood Manipulated Her into Doing S*x Scenes
While promoting her thriller series Yellowjackets, Christina Ricci also dived into the topic of intimate scenes on the reel a month ago. The actress has had a colorful career in terms of a variety of roles from the start to this day. However during her younger days, Hollywood was not as safe as it is these days according to the actress.
Particularly when it comes to intimate scenes. The Addams Family star shared how her younger cast members were fortunate to be acting at a time when things are much safer. According to Ricci, her experience was so bad that she almost got a lawsuit filed against her. And it had been for the simple reason of showing reluctance to carry out an s*x scene.
Christina Ricci Was Forced to Do an Intimate Scene Once
There is no question in that Hollywood can be a dark place. Many stars have unfortunately encountered weird experiences while simply pursuing their career in the industry. And one of these celebrities is Christina Ricci. She is undoubtedly a top actress who started her career as a child actor. Her remarkable performance in the role of Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (1991) marked her successful career in Hollywood. However recently she opened up about her bad experience working in Tinseltown. While guest appearing on The View she opened up by saying,
“Someone threatened to sue me once because I didn’t want to do this s*x scene in a certain way”
Therefore Ricci emphasized the fact that the current scenario in Hollywood was much better compared to her times. These days film sets even employ “intimacy coordinators” to make things less stressful and uncomfortable for actors.

Taking this fact, and comparing it with what Ricci shared, the situation is undoubtedly better these days. Furthermore, the Penelope actor also shared her feeling about being forced to carry out uncomfortable scenes saying,
“When you take away somebody’s control over something like that, it just makes you never want to do it”
So even though these days, there are more s*x scenes, things have seemingly improved a lot for the actors. As for Ricci, her latest project is the thriller series Yellowjackets released back in 2021 (first season).

Intimacy Coordinator’s Words Support What Christina Ricci Revealed
Intimacy Coordinator Jessica Steinrock shared how things have improved in Hollywood. And it is similar to what Christina Ricci revealed about her experience on The View recently. As for Steinrock’s job description, she explained her work was “to facilitate the vision of the director within the boundaries of the actors.”
While talking on the program, she revealed that in the past people had little choice, so they ended up doing uncomfortable scenes. And according to Steinrock the toxic mindset back then was worse for women actors. However, people in her profession are being employed to improve the situation these days. And things have overall become much safer for everyone. So Christina Ricci rightly pointed out the difference.
