Gosling was only a teenager when he entered Hollywood with his first job and to make it memorable, fate introduced the Barbie star to Steve Carell. What else would anybody wish for to make their first job as memorable as ever? Ryan Gosling recently talked about meeting the actor on a set and finding it hard to focus on his work. During his speech at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, the actor said (via Access Hollywood):

“I was 17 on my first job in Hollywood when I met a young Steven John Carrell. We didn’t have scenes together so I went to set one day to watch him work. He was so damn funny that the boom operator dropped the Boom to hold his ribs. That’s how hard he was laughing. It’s the first and only time I’ve ever seen someone be so good, it was a problem.”

After landing some roles in his initial career, Ryan Gosling finally secured a chance to co-star with Steve Carell. The Notebook star has often mentioned feeling incredibly good about being a part of a movie with the Evan Almighty star. Gosling has now emerged as one of the most admirable actors in the industry with numerous remarkable roles in hit projects.

The film included the two actors along with Oscar winner Emma Stone in the leading roles and received generally positive reviews from critics and fans.

During an interview with Collider, Ryan Gosling opened up about his experience while working with Carell and Stone. The Drive star said:

“I just love Steve Carell, always wanted to work with Steve… I got this opportunity to work with him so I decided to jump at it. I didn’t really think of it as a conscious choice to do a comedy, although the prescription was looming there in my subconscious, but I really wanted to work with Steve. I would have done anything to work with him.”
