The popular reality TV show American Idol ostensibly mirrors the principle of the American dream. If individuals work hard enough, they’d make it big owing to a fair and just system. However, that might not be the case. The show hosted by Ryan Seacrest has had its reputation shattered.
A finalist contestant has made bombshell revelations about the show and the alleged manipulation and cheating that goes on. This adds yet another blow to Ryan Seacrest’s career and reputation after he left Live!
Ryan Seacrest Slammed For His Rude Remarks on American Idol
Ryan Seacrest is one of the most popular media personalities in America. In his career, Seacrest has achieved enormous success in the entertainment industry. This year in February, the famous host of Live With Kelly and Ryan announced his departure from the show to start his new journey on American Idol as a host of the singing competition show. The show has amazing ratings and is one of the best long-time-running shows in America, with fantastic prestige.
According to recent reports, Ryan Seacrest is having a hard time on American Idol. The host got slammed on social media for treating contestants poorly. The popular show has a rich history and is super popular with fans everywhere. However, during this week’s episode, Seacrest made a rude remark about one of the contestants, after which he got trashed by its fans.
The American singing competition television show is facing trouble as many contestants and finalists from the past seasons have claimed the show is scripted and manipulated. The iconic show is full of talent, entertainment, and controversial remarks.
While hosting American Idol on Monday, Ryan Seacrest caught everyone’s attention as he made some “rude” remarks. As soon as the clip of the show went viral the die-hard fans of the popular singing competition show slammed the host and asked him to step down from his position. Seacrest told one of the contestants, Michael Williams, that he might be going home tonight after he performed Selena Gomez’s song on Lose You to Love Me.
While revealing who was eliminated and who made it to the top 12, Ryan Seacrest said,
“You sang Lose You to Love Me, and we might lose you tonight.”

“Who cares everybody, so precious now it yet another big media bullshit issue. When the media decides stupid petty sh*t is a big deal. It, therefore, becomes a big deal. To be honest I always thought Ryan was too dull to even be a d**k. He needs more d**k energy.”
A second user wrote,
“I’m old enough to remember when his co-host left after season 1 or 2 because he didn’t want to be a d**k like Ryan lol.”
A third fan ranted at Ryan Seacrest for being rude to American Idol contestants,
“F**K how Ryan Seacrest told Oliva Soli that she wasn’t in the top 12. He made her believe she was in, we were ALL confused, THIS is why you need to just say ‘You’re in or your not in’ instead of this bitch ass trickery, OK? DAMN.”
American Idol Season 21 air weekly on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Ryan Seacrest Opened Up About His Journey On American Idol
Ryan Seacrest started his hosting journey on American Idol in 2002, and he hosted the talent show till 2016. In a tell-all interview, the extraordinary media personality opened up about his experience working on the show.
The American Idol host said,
“I remember two things: One was hearing about the success of the show in the U.K., so we thought maybe it would be a show that people might tune into. In no way did we think it would be as popular as it was. The second thing that made an impact was that friends of mine who couldn’t care less what I do were watching the show and calling me to say, this is really cool and fun and different and my friends are talking about it.”
Ryan Seacrest continued,
“So at the initial stage, you felt that there was impact. But I do remember Randy Jackson and me wondering in the first couple weeks of the first season, do you think we’ll get a second season? When will we know? When will we get the pickup? Because you’re so used to one and out, we were anxiously awaiting the pickup for season two, and then it began to snowball.”
While the show is popular among millions of viewers watching the talent show, it also has a dark side, as many of its previous season participants and finalists have revealed. One of the previous season’s finalists, Ju’Not Joyner claimed the show is scripted. He said,
“It’s fixed. It’s manipulated. Idol spotlights certain contestants producers feel will resonate with the audience and, literally, keeps others in the shadows. It’s scripted; it’s not a talent competition. They show you who they want to show, and that’s just what it is. They have some people, when they get on stage, lights come out that you didn’t even know existed.”
The American Idol contestant continued,
“There wasn’t even an opportunity for me to review what I signed. The day we saw the contract, we had to sign the contract. We had to collectively vote on a lawyer out of a selection of three attorneys they presented us — it was ridiculous.”
This latest exposing of the beloved American show strikes a hard blow at Ryan Seacrest’s legacy. It calls into question his integrity. Things seem downcast for the television personality, and Seacrest would have to rebuild his career from this point onwards.
