Things took a funny turn when Black Panther star Lupita Nyong’o (playfully) humiliated her co-star, Joseph Quinn. She corrected him on a key detail about her character in the MCU that the actor had actually forgotten—even though it was right in front of him.

The funny moment happened on MTV’s Lights, Camera, Debate when Josh Horowitz asked Joseph Quinn a simple question: “What’s the name of Lupita’s character in ‘Black Panther’?” Quinn, momentarily blanking, nervously guessed “Nala.”
This response was met with a playful yet pointed reply from Lupita Nyong’o. “Who now?” (that too twice), adding, “It’s over.” Soon, the Fantastic Four star, unable to recall the correct character name (Nakia), admitted defeat with a sheepish “I don’t know, I can’t remember.”
But the actress, with a sly smile, turned the tables on Quinn. When she was asked by the host, “What popular HBO series did Joe appear in?” Without taking too much time, Nyong’o correctly named Game of Thrones. Her quick and spot-on answer left the British actor looking flustered—clearly a bit guilty.

Joseph Quinn is stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he has a familiar face to help him out. He recently gave a shoutout to Lupita Nyong’o, his co-star from A Quiet Place: Day One, for her support.
After Quinn was cast as Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) in the upcoming Fantastic Four film, the Mexican actress gave him some helpful advice. He told People:
She said that I’m going to have a blast and to enjoy it. She was very helpful when I was considering all of that stuff. She’s obviously part of that world and spoke about her experience with a lot of fondness, so it was encouraging.
Nyong’o too shares undeniable chemistry with Quinn. Their connection has led to many fan-made edits and cute clips online. The 41-year-old told Refinery 29 that their on-screen connection in Quiet Place felt natural. She also thanked the director and producers for spotting their chemistry even before they met.
Nyong’o really likes Quinn’s work and his cheerful attitude on set. She stated that he’s good at listening and trying new things. They clicked right away, which is evident in the movie, too.
