“It’s the best I’ve ever seen”: Brad Pitt Calls Barbie Star Margot Robbie’s Surprise Kiss “On Fire”
Actor Brad Pitt has found himself in the center of the limelight again, and this time with another A-lister Margot Robbie where the superstar addresses the controversial kiss between him and the actress in a movie.
When fans discovered that Margot Robbie planned the kiss between her and Brad Pitt in their movie, it went viral all over social media. The Barbie star received both negative and positive views from social media users, The Lost City star acknowledged the sizzling moment with Robbie.
Brad Pitt Praised Margot Robbie’s Surprise Kiss in Their Movie
Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie left the fans and media buzzing when they discovered that the Barbie star planted a spontaneous kiss on Pitt’s lips in the movie Babylon. This revelation came from none other than the actress herself when she disclosed that she scripted the kiss as she badly wanted to seize the opportunity to kiss the megastar. Robbie’s comments promoted some controversy, with people stating that if the roles were altered there might have been more rage.
But Brad Pitt had finally acknowledged the fiery moment with Robbie, while talking with Entertainment Tonight at the Babylon premiere in Los Angeles the actor was asked his views on the unscripted moment and was questioned if Robbie had snuck the kiss. Responding to the reporter and defending his co-star Pitt said:
“There’s always room for character interpretation. Believe me, that’s the tamest thing she does in this, she’s on fire on this. It’s the best I’ve ever seen her.”
The Bullet Train star praised his co-star and validated that there’s always room for a character’s interpretation. Margot Robbie convinced the director of Babylon to include a kiss in the script as it wasn’t there, and when Damien Chazelle suspected her motives, he agreed.
Babylon Turned Out To Be a Box Office Flop
Director Damien Chazelle’s movie had one of the finest actors in Hollywood in its cast and other talented actors like Tobey Maguire, Diego Calva, and Samara Weaving. But despite their hard work and skills, the film failed to draw the crowds in. Babylon had a startling bland start at the US box office, which unexpectedly made only $4.85 million in its opening four-day weekend and continued to struggle. Brad Pitt’s movie not only disappointed the viewers but also faced financial challenges due to its high production and marketing budget. The audience on Rotten Tomatoes claimed that the movie’s confused and unconnected execution made it difficult to enjoy.
Another drawback of Babylon was having a complex storyline in which the storyline introduced multiple characters throughout the long hours of runtime. Viewers believe that even though Robbie’s movie captured the essence of late 1920s Hollywood, it needed a strong, catchy through-line. Babylon took risky R-rate content and a lengthy runtime as well which might have not excited a large audience. However, the movie received mixed reviews, so there were fans who appreciated the work of Brad Pitt in the movie.
