When Tom Hanks casted for Road to Perdition movie, he got a chance to play the character named Michael Sullivan, a cold-hearted gangster.
The difference here was that the role he got for this movie and the roles have played in his other movies were opposite, but still, the actor was able to portray for the role so perfectly which has left fans shocked.

Tom Hank’s Road to Perdition was was not only a great hit but infact it also left fans shocked after watching their favorite A Man Called Otto star in a new avatar.
“You have me, Don-Mustache-with-a-hat-on, in it,” Hanks shares during his conversation in a podcast.
Elvis Star played as one of the gangster enforcers. In the movie you can see him with a Don-Mustache and a hat which does gives you vibe of how a cold heart gangsta looks like. Also, he shared that Road to Perdition was among the best thrillers.
The movie was released back in back in 2002 and it’s considered among the best thrillers list in 2023. In today’s date the movie has an IMDb rating of 7.7 out of 10 and a Rotten Tomato rating of 86% audience score.
Tom Hanks Reveals Potential Darker Character for Road to Perdition
While having a conversation with Hollywood.com, the Captain Phillips star shared, the Road to Perdition movie could have many more bloodshedding scenes if the whole plot was taken from the adapted graphic novel.
“In the graphic novel for Road, they describe my character as the Angel of Death and it was just loaded with bloodletting – razor blades, decapitations, I believe they even threw bombs. It was extremely violent,” said Hanks.
The Greyhound star also explained the changes made to replace a bloodshed scene with some other by the director, Sam Menders which brought a different sensibility to the whole plot.
“Sam wasn’t interested in making that kind of movie. And quite frankly, neither was I,” said Hanks, describing the violence that does happen as “very personal” for all involved.
He added: “It’s loud. It’s very messy and it’s very uncomfortable. And this alters the level of that pure cinematic choice that you make. It’s got less bullets than your average James Bond movie, but the mayhem that’s caused is much more tactile and frightening.”
The Circle star was talking about how loud, messy, and uncomfortable scenes could be there in the movie which could end up affecting the overall cinematic experience of the viewers. Also, he shared how much bloodshed scenes was removed by comparing it to a James Bond movie.

Road to Perdition made its way to release back in 2002 and today’s date there are many movies where the star has showcased his amazing performance.
The latest movie where he appeared was in Asteroid City with Scarlett Johansson. This movie has been gaining a good positive impact from the fans, thanks to the awesome plotline as well as the talent behind the movie.
