Robert Pattinson Lied About The Royal Connection For Fame
Robert Pattinson admitted to fabricating stories about his royal connections to gain recognition and fame in Hollywood.
The Twilight superstar allegedly lied on his resume in a bid to land acting roles before he shot to fame as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise.
According to the model, he struggled to find work in the industry and spent three years unemployed in London before moving to Los Angeles in search of opportunities.

He was so desperate to impress potential employers that Pattinson resorted to fabricating information, pretending to have attended London’s prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He told the media that it’s easy to convince people that you are from the royal family. He stated,
“I’ve been at RADA with Prince William, And they’re like Oh that sounds wonderful! You’re English, I completely believe you.”
The British actor admitted that he never actually interacted with any members of the monarchy. Nevertheless, he pretended to know them whenever he visited the US, as reported by Contactmusic.
“I don’t think I’ve ever met them. I used to tell people when I came to the States that I did. They believed me. Five or six years ago when I first used to come to Los Angeles there weren’t many English people, now there are like a million and people still believe me.”
Pattinson now finds it amusing that people believe his tall tales. However, in a 2022 interview with GQ magazine, he revealed that he sometimes says things in interviews that are pure lies.

So, he lied to Nolan and said that he had a family emergency that he needed to attend to. He explained,
“I had to keep everything about ‘Batman’ a secret, so I had to lie to Nolan when I went for an audition. I told him I had a family emergency. And, as soon as I said ‘it’s a family emergency,’ he said, ‘You’re going to cast ‘Batman,’ right?”
Despite his lies, Pattinson remains a popular figure in Hollywood, largely due to his charming personality.
