The 51-year-old actress, Jada Pinkett Smith has been a part of some of the major projects in the entertainment industry. While she has a successful acting journey, it is also filled with some of the biggest failures in Hollywood. Back in 1994, she was a leading star in a 1994 film, A Low Down Dirty Shame alongside, Charles S. Dutton, and Salli Richardson. It also starred promising filmmaker, Keenen Ivory Wayans who helmed the movie. He initially gained prominence for his series, In Living Color.

In the film, the former portrayed the role of Peaches Jordan whom she described as “raw” with a “major attitude.”

While her acting garnered positive reviews, this film was unable to catch critics’ attention and held a terrific 4% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The film grossed $29.4 million at the box office with an alleged production budget of $10 million.

A top critic shared their thoughts on the film by sharing via The Virginian-Pilot

“Frankly, when it’s funny, it’s on target. When it tries to be an action flick, it’s merely routine, bland and predictable.”

Due to such a low score, both the filmmaker and actress understood the problems which affected its quality. She was also in the limelight after her husband, Will Smith was involved in a severe drama at the last year’s Oscars ceremony.

The 54-year-old star, Will Smith made headlines at the 94th Academy Awards for assaulting comedian, Chris Rock last year. It all began when the latter made fun of the actress’s bald look which eventually affected the couple. While Rock was presenting an award onstage, he stated, “Jada, I love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see ya.” This remark ticked off the former who stormed to the stage and slapped the latter.

The comedian as per reports was unaware of the Set It Off star’s medical condition, alopecia which has caused her hair loss. After the outburst, the King Richard actor publicly issued an apology for his actions. He was also banned from attending the Oscars for the next 10 years.

While Rock was tight-lipped regarding the incident, he went into an offensive mode by throwing a dig at the couple especially the actress in his Netflix special.
