Jamie Foxx Gives Major Health Update Following Medical Emergency Rumors
Jamie Foxx’s best work of his career so far has been his portrayal of singer Ray Charles, who composed a legendary career against all odds.
The 2004 biographical musical drama film Ray focuses on a large part of Charles’ life that is initially handicapped with blindness at the age of 7 before finding its light through his love for piano in the South. Eventually, the kid from the humble background reaches the summit of music during the 1950s and 60s. The movie swept the Oscars with seven nominations and two wins, including the Best Actor award that Foxx lifted in 2005.

We might be going a bit too far by drawing parallels here, but Foxx, after rising above his impairment on the reel, has managed to beat another health scare in real life.
Jamie Foxx Comes Back From the Hell
In April, Jamie Foxx suffered a “medical complication” and was taken to the hospital. At the time, he was in Atlanta busy filming his Netflix movie Back in Action which is supposed to be Cameron Diaz’s Hollywood comeback project after a gap of almost a decade.
After reassuring initial comments, the people around him went tight-lipped over his condition for the next few months.
The silence caused plenty of wayward claims, but now the Baby Driver star has himself cleared the air by talking about what he was going through and how he’s feeling at the moment. His statement video for his 16 million followers on Instagram went as follows:
“I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through. I know a lot of people were waiting and wanting to hear updates but, to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying and cracking a joke, doing a movie [or] television show.”

The brilliant Ray actor added that he went to hell and back, but assured his fans that now he’s on the road to recovery.

Will Smith Reacts to Jamie Foxx’s Health Update
His everyday fans aren’t the only ones who are delighted with the positive update of the Django Unchained star.
Will Smith, who worked alongside Foxx in the movie Ali, was also quick to share his thoughts in the comment section of the video, writing: “Awww Man. Who’s cuttin’ onions?? Love U Foxx!! Your Light Is Needed ‘n Appreciated Right Now!”
In 2001, it was Foxx who acted as Muhammad Ali’s (Will Smith) cornerman and assistant trainer, Drew Bundini Brown and helped him achieve great things in the ring. But now, we hope it’s Drew who picks the gloves and makes a brilliant comeback in the Hollywood circle with his forthcoming movie Back in Action.
