Jamie Foxx began his career as a stand-up comedian before switching to acting with his role in the 1991 sketch comedy In Living Color. 10 years and several movies and shows later, he starred alongside Will Smith in the biographical drama Ali, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Over the years, Foxx has been nominated for many other awards and even won some of those. However, he has yet to win one particular award that his daughter Corinne Foxx has already won at the mere age of 30.
Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Corinne Foxx Has Won This Accolade That Her Father is Yet to Win
Jamie Foxx undoubtedly has a long list of accolades that he has won or has been nominated for. This list also includes an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the biographical drama Ray, released in 2004. Despite the many shows he has done so far, he has yet to win an Emmy Award.
On the other hand, his older daughter Corinne Foxx has already won a Creative Emmy Award in 2020. She received the accolade for her performance as the character Thelma in the episode Good Times in Live in Front of a Studio. It is a series of live TV specials created and hosted by popular TV presenter Jimmy Kimmel.
The Baby Driver actor congratulated his daughter on the achievement in an Instagram post. The actor captioned a video of them toasting wine glasses:
I would like to introduce to you my daughter Emmy award winning @corinnefoxx !!!! Congratulations on your Emmy award performance!!! in good times on live in front of a studio audience!!! You are my heart and I am so proud of you… Keep elevating… I love you.
Corinne Foxx has always been supportive of her father. The father-daughter duo have attended several of his movie premieres together. She was also there by his side when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.

Jamie Foxx shares Corinne Foxx with his ex-girlfriend Connie Kline. She attended Sierra Canyon School and studied public relations at the University of Southern California. With an interest in acting just like her father, she attended Howard Fine Acting Studio and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Her first on-screen performance was a cameo in The Jamie Foxx Show at the age of six. Further, she has appeared in many other movies and TV shows including 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, Safety, and Dollface. She is also a host on her father’s game show Beat Shazam.
Besides her acting endeavors, she has also served as a model. Her first modeling gig was for the accessories brand Icing in 2014. Her formal model debut was at the Bal des débutantes. She has now worked with many popular fashion brands Ralph Lauren and Dolce & Gabbana.
The Sweet/Vicious actress announced her engagement to Joe Hooten in an Instagram post in December 2023. Her father walked her down the aisle recently according to E! News. There has been no official announcement regarding this so far, but one of Foxx’s co-stars shared pictures of the event in what appears to be a since-deleted post.
