Fineman used all her creativity to create a hilarious take on Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd starrer HBOs latest musical series, The Idol. In HBO’s new drama, The Idol, Lily-Rose Depp plays the role of Jocelyn, who has lost her way and wants to become a famous pop sensation. In her journey, she enters into a complicated romantic relationship with the cult leader, Tedros.

Created by Sam Levinson and The Weeknd, The Idol is HBOs new musical drama. The series tells the story of a self-help guru and modern-day cult leader, Tedros, and pop idol Jocelyn. The series will be streaming exclusively on HBO and aired live on the HBO channel.
Logline for the controversial HBO drama, The Idol reads as follows: “After a nervous breakdown derailed Jocelyn’s (Lily-Rose Depp) last tour, she’s determined to claim her rightful status as the greatest and sexiest pop star in America. Her passions are reignited by Tedros (Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye), a nightclub impresario with a sordid past. The show’s first two episodes premiered in May 2023 at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, where it was greeted with unfavorable reviews from critics for its graphic s-xual content, plot, and dark themes. After the show aired on June 4, it is currently the most-watched show on HBO. The star cast of the show includes Abel Tesfaye, famously known as The Weeknd, as Tedros, Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn, a young pop idol and Tedros’ love interest; Suzanna Son as Chloe, a follower of Tedros, and Troye Sivan as Xander, Jocelyn’s creative director.

Jane the Virgin star Chloe Fineman recently took everyone on a laughter ride with her new Instagram video. In a surprising twist, Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman had a take on Lily-Rose Depp‘s performance in the series. In the video Fineman uploaded on her Instagram, she was seen wearing a lacy black bra backward and was multiple slim cigarettes at once. In reference to The Weeknd’s character, Fineman said in her video, “I met this guy last night; his name is Tedros. He was like dressed in a bat cape, but I think he’s gonna like change my career.”
She even touched a line from the series’ first episode where Tedros tells Jocelyn to “sing like you can f*ck.” Fineman then adds a rendition of Natasha Bedingfield’s Pocket Full of Sunshine and asks, “Does my song f*ck? Like, music should f*ck.” The whole idea and concept of the video were amazingly hilarious and full of comedy and entertainment. She captioned her video, “My audition for THE IDOL (must have got lost in the mail) @TheIdol (@lilyrose_depp is a GODDESS of talent).”
Taking it sportingly and enjoying Fineman’s piece of entertainment to the fullest, Depp responded in the comments section, “I’m loling….. and ur makeup looks bomb,” to which Chloe Fineman responded, “Obsessed with you” and also added two heart emojis. Nonetheless, the camaraderie between the two talented actresses was adorable.
