Jason Momoa Couldn’t Get Over His “Wonderful” Co-star Timothée Chalamet Despite Being Gravely Hurt By the ‘Dune’ Lead
Jason Momoa is one of the actors in talks nowadays since his recently released DC movie, Aquaman 2. It is his second solo film in the DC universe, where he plays Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, a half-human, half-Atlantean and a member of the Justice League. Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom was released in the theatres this month and has collected around $13.7 million since its release.
Not Momoa, but his Dune co-star, Timothée Chalamet, is also in the limelight nowadays for his recent film Wonka, directed by Paul King. The musical fantasy film narrates the story of Willy Wonka (played by Chalamet), an aspiring magician and a chocolatier, who dreams of opening a shop in the renowned city of chocolates. Wonka is adapted from Roald Dahl’s 1964 novel, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
Momoa shared an insight from the sets of Dune (2021), which the Fast-X actor revealed when he appeared in The Ellen Show in October 2021. The actor mentioned how Chalamet hurt him while filming and mentioned how he enjoyed working with him.

Jason Momoa appeared in Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen Show, where the host, Ellen Degeneres, asked him if Timothée Chalamet hurt him while shooting for Dune. The Aquaman star replied, “Well! Yeah. he’s top 5 ball busters in my life.” He added that Chalamet has “made it into the top 5.” The actor explained that in a scene, he and the Wonka star had to run towards each other, and during the shoot, Chalamet put his knee into the Fast-X actor. Reacting to the incident shared by Momoa, Degeneres replied, “Ohh my god, that’s terrible. I’m sure he feels very bad and owes you something for life.” Answering the host’s reaction, Momoa said, “he does.” He also called Chalamet a “wonderful man” and said he loved him.
In The Ellen Show, the Aquaman star also mentioned injuries he got while filming the sequel of his 2018 DC movie. There was a list of injuries, which included pushed ribs and hernia. He also injured his eye and required to undergo surgery.

Dune is an epic science fiction film adapted from Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel by the same name as mentioned in the Dune franchise. It was written by, Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth. It is a two-part film directed by Denis Villeneuve.
The plot of Dune is set in the distant future following Paul Atreides (played by Timothée Chalamet) and his family, called the noble House Atreides. They thrust into war for the deadly and inhospitable desert planet Arrakis. In the film, Jason Momoa plays Duncan Idaho, a swordmaster of House Atreides and mentor of Paul Atreides.
Dune was released in 2021 with a budget of $165 million and earned $402 million at the box office. Its sequel is expected to be released by March 2024.
