The Aquaman star Jason Momoa is a beloved actor who has appeared in big-banner films. The actor has several fantastic films under his belt and a huge fan base that loves his work. What makes Momoa even more special is his charming smile that left his fans in awe. Last year, Zack Snyder’s Justice League star was in Italy while shooting for his upcoming movie Fast X with his other co-stars. The actor also visited the famous Sistine Chapel in Vatican City where taking pictures is strictly prohibited.

Jason Momoa was unaware that taking photographs there was prohibited owing to the flash, which could damage the artwork. The actor posed for photos in front of artwork inside the worship place. Momoa took to his Instagram and shared a series of pictures and videos of himself and the artwork inside the palace and captioned his post as,

“I LOVE YOU ITALY what a beautiful start to our day off enjoying ROMA.”

Many social media users reacted to Jason Momoa’s picture after it went viral, claiming that visitors are barred from taking photographs in such historic places. The actor received major criticism and he quickly posted a video in which he apologized to his followers after fans pointed out there is a “no photos” rule inside the Sistine Chapel.

Jason Momoa is a phenomenal actor. In 2022, he got mercilessly bashed for clicking pictures inside Vatican City’s iconic chapel. The actor was shooting for his upcoming movie for the 10th installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, with Vin Diesel, and during the shoot, he made a visit to Italy’s famous sacred Chapel. 

According to reports, he clicked a series of pictures inside the chapel where photography isn’t allowed. After he shared them on Instagram and acknowledged it was not the best idea to post them online as he faces heavy criticism for the same, the latter soon shared a clip and apologize for the same.

In the video, Jason Momoa said,

“If you ever felt that I disrespected your culture, it wasn’t my intention. I found people who wanted to take pictures with me, which is very odd, during a trip to the Vatican with all this splendor, and they want to take pictures with me, which I don’t get, but regardless, I did.”

The Justice League star continued,

“I was very respectful, and I asked for permission — what I thought would be OK. I would never want to do anything to disrespect someone’s culture, so if I did, I apologize. It wasn’t my intention.”
