Jason Sudeikis Allegedly Burying Ex-Wife Olivia Wilde in Debt With Lawsuits After Wilde’s Harry Styles Affair: “Jason can afford to spin his wheels, Olivia cannot”
Seems like the custody battle between Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde will last even longer than their engagement. Sudeikis files yet another lawsuit against his ex Wilde. The couple recently split in 2020 after being together for 7 long years, the pair also share two children together. They are now at war, regarding the custody of their children following the split.
Therefore, the director extraordinaire is now accusing her ex-partner of deliberately burying her under an insurmountable number of lawsuits, and praying for her inevitable downfall.
Jason Sudeikis wants Olivia Wilde to go bankrupt
One after the other, the lawsuits keep on coming, Olivia Wilde claims Jason Sudeikis is trying to get her bankrupt. The attorneys of Wilde stated,
“While Jason can afford to spin his wheels with filing after filing, Olivia cannot,”
They further claimed,
“Jason seems intent on throwing whatever he can against the wall to see what will stick, and this Request for Order seeking a stay of the California Parentage action is just the latest example.”
The final hearing took place in Los Angeles where these statements were made. The attorneys of the Don’t Worry Darling director are furious although the final outcome was in their favor. They further added,
“Jason should not be permitted to litigate Olivia into debt, and then claim she should be deprived of her right to seek a needs-based fee contribution from him, [Wilde] aware that he is far wealthier than she is.”
Wilde herself accused the actor of backstabbing her,
“We were scheduled to start working with a family therapist in California in mid-January. I thought things were calming down and were going to move forward in a more amicable, respectful fashion,–Instead I learned … that the entire time I was negotiating the parenting time schedule in California [Jason] was plotting to proceed with the New York Child Support proceeding behind my back”
Although the proceedings were hectic, they can now announce that the nightmare is finally over.
Olivia Wilde wins!
The court finally shared its verdict and Olivia Wilde won the custody battle against her ex-partner Jason Sudeikis. According to TMZ, the judge denied the Ted Lasso actor’s request to move the hearing to the New York court from California, since the NY is more ruthless given its past records. The court stated,
“the Court finds that it is in the interest of substantial justice that the parties’ child support petition be heard in California.”
The real reason behind their war was Wilde wanted the kids to stay in LA whereas Sudeikis wanted them to be in Brooklyn. Although the two seemed friendly a few months back, it seems like it was not at all the case. Well, it is now settled and only the child support hearing verdict is left to be announced.
