Jennifer Garner Maintains Class Act to Honor Ben Affleck Despite Brutal Divorce as Jennifer Lopez Posts Thirst Traps of 50 Year Old Batman Star
It came as a surprise to the fans when Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced their separation in 2015 and then went through a messy divorce. Affleck and Garner were married from 2005 to 2018, and following their tumultuous divorce, both have moved on with new partners and are reportedly in amicable relations.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been doing the best they can to co-parent their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Some have referred to the former couple as “co-parenting goals” because the actress has consistently acknowledged the Batman actor’s contribution to their children’s lives.
Jennifer Garner gives a ‘sweet’ shout-out to Ben Affleck
On the occasion of Father’s Day, actress Jennifer Garner took to her social media to share an appreciation post about her father where she wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to the best to ever do the job. We love you, Dad.” The actress shared a picture with her parents as they attended church together.
Garner did not forget to wish the father of her three kids as she added a P.S. note and mentioned, “PS Shout out to BGA—no one loves their kids like you love ours, happy Father’s Day, Ben! X.” She used Ben Affleck’s full name, which is Benjamin Géza Affleck.
Back in 2018, Garner shared a very similar emotion as she stated that their kids are very lucky to have him as a father who looks at them the way he looks at them and loves them the way he loves them. Affleck’s current wife Jennifer Lopez also gave a shout-out to the actor where she posted a montage video of the couple and the kids including a thirst trap picture of the actor.
Lopez captioned the picture, “Daddy Appreciation Post. Happy Father’s Day Papa.” But fans gushed over Garner’s sweet shout-out to her ex-husband even after a messy divorce and called her a ‘class act’.
Co-parenting with Jennifer and Ben Affleck is ‘always a work in progress’
Back in 2020, Affleck made headlines when he went ahead to admit that his failed marriage to Garner was his biggest regret, adding that he realized that he did not want to get a divorce or split his family. But a source stated that co-parenting between the actors has always been a work in progress, despite how good they seem at it.
An insider said, “Things come up between them, but they are committed to doing the best they can for the kids. They stay on top of things and have a lot of meetings and check-ins. They want to be the best parents they can for the kids. If they have differences, they keep it to themselves and don’t let it have an impact. They always put on happy faces for the kids and put their well-being first.”
A source mentioned in 2020 that Garner and Affleck have worked hard to get to the place where they are now, which is good for the kids. They want the best for the kids and understood that they have to work on their differences too.
Jennifer Garner on why her kids are NOT on social media
Back in 2021, Garner shared during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about the negative press attention that their family or the relationship got at the time. She decided to be upfront and communicate with her kids about it.
She said, “When they were smaller and there were things out there that were shocking, my request to them was always, ‘Let Dad and I talk you through whatever it is’. I’d tell them, ‘If you see an image on the front of a magazine, I’ll look at it with you and we’ll process all the scary feelings that come up together.’”
Affleck also pointed out in 2022 that he started to worry about his public image when he realized that his kids could see it. He said, “I got to a place where [the public perception] was so different from who I am that I just stopped reading and stopped caring. But then, as my kids got older and started seeing the Internet themselves, that’s the difficult part.” Affleck says that it’s tough.
In April 2023, Garner explained to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager while she appeared on Today why their kids do not use social media. She explained that she asked them to show her the articles that prove that social media is good for teenagers and then they can have a conversation.
