The Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp has talked about his safe place. After all the courtroom drama concerning ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp seems to find solace in little things. Talking about this in a candid interview Depp has revealed that he finds the Bahamas to be his safe place.
After his latest appearance in Dior’s ad, Depp was interviewed by the South China Morning Post. During this interview, Depp was questioned about where he feels most of himself in the world. Responding to this Depp said that he feels most of himself in the Bahamas.
Talking about this to the South China Morning Post, Depp said “Where I feel the most myself in this world, and where I go to feel absolutely normal, I suppose, is my place in the Bahamas, because it’s an island and nobody’s looking at me. You’ve got to have some sanctuary, a safe place where you can escape the scrutiny and the interest of others, a place where you can just sit on a beach, read, paint, meditate, or whatever, that’s freedom to me. That’s the only real freedom.”
He also said that working in films does not provide him with that kind of peace. Further talking about it he said that most of the time what happens during the filming of the movies does not make sense to him.
Johnny Depp Is Grateful for Dior
During the interview, Johnny Depp also talked about his relationship with Dior. Talking about this Depp said that he will be very thankful for Dior all throughout his life for all the support that they have provided him.
Speaking about this to the South China Morning Post, Depp said “I will forever be in their debt, I will forever be loyal. They are … man, it’s Dior! Of course, they’re a class act, but they’re actually truly a class act. I mean, that’s strength, that’s class, that’s brave, it’s courageous. Dior will always mean much more to me than just Sauvage.”
These sweet words by the actor have touched the hearts of many as they admire this grateful attitude of the star.
