He held numerous press conferences, interviews, and a photo session with Dior after making an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. The actor chose to remain in the hotel and skip the dinner function at the Carlton Cannes Hotel.
Additionally, there were reports that Depp chose not to attend the dinner occasion to avoid any potential trouble before his reappearance. A source close to Depp said,
“Everyone was expecting Johnny at the dinner. It’s very rare for the star of the film to not show, but he decided to lay low.”
Since the defamation trial against Amber Heard, Depp has become reportedly more conscious about his public image. He doesn’t want to take any chance before his comeback drama.
