Both the star and his fans are already excited about his comeback. Jeanne du Barry’s creators threw a supper for the drama’s actors and crew. Depp had been invited to attend the celebration, but he opted not to. Many rumors were swirling since his seat remained vacant on the night of the dinner affair. 

According to reports, the 59-year-old actor wanted a break from the continual hustle and bustle because he was tired. He held numerous press conferences, interviews, and a photo session with Dior after making an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. The actor chose to remain in the hotel and skip the dinner function at the Carlton Cannes Hotel. 

Additionally, there were reports that Depp chose not to attend the dinner occasion to avoid any potential trouble before his reappearance. A source close to Depp said,

Everyone was expecting Johnny at the dinner. It’s very rare for the star of the film to not show, but he decided to lay low.” 

Since the defamation trial against Amber Heard, Depp has become reportedly more conscious about his public image. He doesn’t want to take any chance before his comeback drama.

Johnny Depp is all set to make his directorial debut

Depp wants to look into other chances after being given a fresh start after winning the trial. Depp making his directorial debut has recently generated a lot of buzz online. According to rumors, the 59-year-old actor would be the director of the biopic Modi about the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. In Depp’s film Modi, Al-Pacino is also a part of the cast.

For now, the Blow actor is on a music tour with the Hollywood Vampires living his musical life. After winning the trial in 2022, Depp was invited by Jeff Beck to accompany him on his music tour.
