Johnny Depp Reportedly Dating His Lawyer After Epic Win Over Amber Heard, Sources Reveal It’s Not Camilla Vasquez
Earlier this year, Johnny Depp had sparked serious speculations of a relationship with his attorney Camille Vasquez during and after his wildly publicized defamation trial against Amber Heard. Depp won the trial and most of the internet rejoiced in his victory. It was the joint effort of Depp’s entire legal team but one name got highlighted more than the others. Camille Vasquez became a celebrity in her own stead and even started to get acting offers. Depp fans started shipping the two and while they had the best of intentions, it was an offensive assumption, which was also untrue.
However, Depp really is dating his attorney now, but it’s not Camille Vasquez.
The “sexist” and “unethical” rumors about Camille Vasquez and Johnny Depp
Back when rumors of Camille Vasquez and Depp dating gained momentum, the attorney was quick to tag the assumptions as “sexist” and “unethical”. In conversation with People in June itself, Vasquez shared how the actor had been a friend and client of hers for four-and-a-half years.
She further said:
“I care very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close… But when I say we, I mean the entire team, and of course that includes Johnny. It’s also an unethical charge being made. It’s sexist,” she added. “It’s unfortunate and it’s disappointing, but at the same time it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.”
Soon enough the haters lost interest and the fans realized their mistake. The two were then hailed for the beautiful and precious friendship that they shared.
A “discreetly” born love affair
According to Page Six, Johnny Depp is currently dating his lawyer in the UK libel trial against The Sun – Joelle Rich. Reports reveal that Rich is a mother of two who is separated at the moment but the divorce is yet to be finalized.
It is not yet known when the relationship between Depp and Rich began but she was present in the courtroom during the 6-week trial in the USA, even though she was not a part of the legal team. As per reports from Us Weekly, Rich was present in the Virginia court to express her “support” for her now beau, Johnny Depp.
An insider shared with the news outlet, “There was no professional obligation for her being there.” The source further revealed that when the romance was still budding, the British attorney and Depp would “discreetly” meet in hotels.
So far, no official statement has been made by either of the two regarding their relationship. However, fans hope that Depp finds peace and stability with his new partner. They feel that he deserves that after such a traumatic and tumultuous experience with Amber Heard.
