Johnny Deep who is more famous for his role as Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean sparked into a new controversy after he admitted in court that the has never watched his first movie from his blockbuster franchise.

Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has been among the most beloved franchise for more than two decades. Depp was the movie’s lead star and gained much acclaim for his performance in this role and even was nominated for Oscars.

Johnny Depp never watched his first Pirates of the Caribbean movie

The first movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, The Curse of the Black Pearl made its way to release back in 2003.

The first movie in the franchise was a massive hit among the fans which gave a star to an entire multi-billion dollar movie franchise.

Moving forward to the future, Johnny Depp‘s Pirates of the Caribbean has now around five movies, and the most recent movie was released back in 2017.

It’s not the first time that we are getting to see Depp getting stuck into a controversy, but he infact has faced controversies related to his drug addiction cases as well as lawsuits with his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

Now, the number of controversy increased after it was revealed that The Alice in Wonderland star said in the court that he has never watched his first movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

In response to the statements made by Depp, the founder of puck news, Matthew Belloni says it’s a “baller move”.

Johnny Depp just said in court he never saw the first PIRATES movie. Remember, he was nominated for an Oscar for that film. Just a baller move right there.

Belloni wanted to highlight the fact that the actor who hasn’t even watched his first movie which was released like 22 years and was nominated for Oscars.

In support of this statement, there were many previously recorded statements where Depp publicly accepted his dislike to watch his movies.

Will Johnny Deep lead for Pirates of the Caribbean: A Day At The Sea?

After releasing of the five movies there were mant rumors about the possibility to see the next sixth movie for the franchise which will be titled as Pirates of the Caribbean: A Day At The Sea, but due the many factors including COVID-19 and controversies like the Amber Heard lawsuit, the production of the movie was delayed until further notice.

After going through a long legal battle, finally, the court proceeded in favor of the Jeanne Du Barry star.

As now, the star is out of the legal battle, we expect the sixth new movie to start its production soon with Depp leading the movie.

Johnny Depp’s Diverse Movie Projects Beyond Pirates of the Caribbean

Recently, Johnny Depp portrayed as Louis XV in a new Romance movie, Jeanne Du Barry. The movie made its way to release just back on the 16th of May this year. Depp is playing the lead star.

Not only Jeanee Du Barry and Pirates of the Caribbean, but Depp is also expected to be a part of his new movie Modi, where the star won’t be acting but infact he is speculated to direct the movie.

Talking more about his future plans, as of now there are no such updates but as the star is now considering directing a movie over acting, there is a high chance to see the Fantastic Beasts star to direct many new movies.
