Joker’s DC Movie Future Elucidated: Everything We might know
DC’s movie universe comprises two varied Jokers as of now, DC’s movie universe, unofficially titled DCEU, began in 2013 with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, and even though it was welcomed with mixed reactions, it was a big box office success, making a path for multiple movies based on DC Comics characters. Joker being an iconic character during the series and now from everything we know joker’s future can be professed
Joaquin Phoenix Joker Could come back in A Sequel
Joker acquired multiple awards and nominations, with Phoenix conquering the Academy Award, BAFTA, SAG, and Golden Globe awards for Best Actor. With all that in attention, it seems like the next step would be to evolve a sequel, as it generally happens with this genre of the movie, but Joker’s path has been unique. Joker 2 hasn’t been scrapped because it hasn’t even been a hot topic of discussion among director, studio, and actor yet
Jared Leto seems to be Done As The DCEU’s Joker
Jared Leto’s Joker made a huge impression since the first photos of the character were let out, as some fans thought the tattoos were out of character, but they finally gave him the benefit of the doubt. dejectedly, his performance wasn’t well-received. With Leto now being part of Sony’s Marvel Universe due to his lead role in Morbius, the gossips generated by his portrayal of the Joker in Suicide Squad along with behind-the-scenes disruption, it’s unlikely Leto will be requested for his role in another movie from the DCEU – and it’s even more unlikely that he will be given a solo movie.
Joker Could Be Reintroduced In The DCEU
If Warner Bros. determines to leave Leto but not the Joker, then it would have to recast the role. The DCEU is already going through big changes, along with a major retconning with Matt Reeves’ The Batman which will have Robert Pattinson as the new Caped Crusader, and will have zero supporting cast from Affleck’s time–so recasting the Joker wouldn’t be too difficult nor would it mess with continuity. Basically, there are possibilities that the Joker can still be involved in the DCEU without him having to be played by Jared Leto, and it solely depends on Warner Bros.
When we can witness Joker’s charisma?
The Joker’s best shot to return to the large screen in Joker 2, either with Phoenix pursuing Arthur’s path as the Clown Prince of Crime or by introducing the real one. It should also be observed that Warner Bros. has other things to fret about when it comes to the Joker that go past who will play it and in which universe, and it’s if the audience wants to continue viewing stories that include the character. Surely, the Joker is one of DC’s most iconic characters, but Warner wouldn’t want to compress the audience with multiple versions, especially when there are many more villains from Batman’s world that can be inspected. For now, the Joker’s future in DC’s movie universe is opaque, but his time there hasn’t ended yet. Have a look at the following video regarding the sequel,
