Jonathan Majors Faces More Jail Time as Two New Women Come Forward With Abuse Accusations

He was supposed to be the face of one of the biggest projects based on Kang from the house of Marvel Cinematic Universe, but was arrested in March last year. The Devotion actor was declared guilty of physically abusing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
Post March 2023, Jonathan Majors has been making broad headlines with his trials and court visits. However, the problems surrounding the actor are never-ending as two new women have come forward with abuse accusations against him which has led to the extension of his jail term.
Jonathan Majors Faces More Jail Time After Two New Women Come Forward With Accusations Against Him
According to the recent development on the Jonathan Majors’ case, two women have come forward with abuse allegations against the actor. As reported by the reputed media outlet New York Times, his former girlfriend Emma Duncan has accused him of physically and emotionally abusing her. Based on the statement that was submitted during the pre-trial of Jonathan Majors, Emma Duncan alleged that the Marvel actor tried to strangle and kill her in 2016. During an argument, Majors even pushed her into the mailbox which led to bruises all over her body. She even described the Creed 3 actor as controlling and used to leave her alone in the pursuit of work and friends.
According to the New York Times, Emma Duncan’s statement mentioned-
“You lose your sense of worth,”
Similarly, Maura Hooper felt trapped and alone when she was in a toxic relationship with Jonathan Majors. According to a report by the New York Times, the pretrial statement mentioned that Hooper was not allowed to talk about her relationship with anyone and was isolated from her own support system. She revealed getting pregnant several months into her relationship with Jonathan Majors. She even underwent an abortion, and as Majors did not allow her to talk about her relationship, she walked herself home. Her statement mentions-
“I felt trapped and alone”
However, these allegations add up to more trouble for the actor as his sentencing has been delayed to April 8, 2024, which was originally scheduled around February 6, 2024.
Jonathan Majors’ Pattern Of Abuse Revealed
The Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg exposed the pattern of abuse during the trial of Jonathan Majors. According to the media outlet People, Manhattan D.A. issued a statement that mentioned the cycle of emotional and psychological abuse that spoke volumes about his pattern of abuse. The statement read as
“At the Manhattan D.A.’s Office, we are committed to centering survivors in all of our work. The evidence presented throughout this trial illustrated a cycle of psychological and emotional abuse, and escalating patterns of coercion far too common across the many intimate partner violence cases we see each and every day. Today, a jury determined that the pattern of abuse and coercion culminated with Mr. Majors assaulting and harassing his girlfriend. We thank the jury for its service and the survivor for bravely telling her story despite having to relive her trauma on the stand,”

The Lovecraft Country actor’s stardom came to a halt after he was found guilty of reckless physical violence in the third degree and harassment in the second degree on his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in March 2023. According to Jabbari, Jonathan Majors ended up prying her fingers while taking his phone from her hand, struck her head, and even threw her back into the car.
