He met his wife Dr. Jordana Jacobs at a sound meditation retreat center in 2022 when he was high on psychedelic mushrooms. How I Met Your Mother actor Josh Radnor, has finally found love at one of the weirdest places on earth- a sound meditation retreat center! The actor got married to Dr. Jordana Jacobs on 6th January 2024. During a recent interview with the reputed media outlet New York Times, he spoke about how mushrooms played a very crucial role in aligning his stars with his wife.
According to the interview, Radnor ingested a mixture of psychedelic mushrooms along with the other attendees. They lay on the floor with eye masks listening to the sound of chimes and singing bowls. Josh Radnor recalled that a voice in his head alerted him about his match with Jacobs. He recounted-
“That’s her. That’s your woman. I had this experience in the ceremony of listening to my heart, and my heart is drawn to you.”

Luckily, the same thing happened with Dr. Jacobs too, as she got a similar message on her trip. The couple started talking to each other and as revealed by Radnor, they had a very intense first date. The Social Animals actor recently shared his wedding pictures and captioned it as
“I got married! Two weeks ago. In a *light* blizzard. It was an incredibly overwhelming snowy bliss-filled weekend. So grateful to so many people I love for making the trip to @thesistersofcedarlakes to be with us. To @forgedinthenorth for the extraordinary pictures. To @samspector for the extraordinary suits. But most of all to Jordana. I can’t believe my great good fortune that I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife.”

How I Met Your Mother’s first episode was aired in September 2005. The nine-season-long romantic comedy ended in March 2014. The popular show brought actor Josh Radnor into the spotlight. During an interview with the media platform GQ in 2018, the actor spoke about How I Met Your Mother and even reflected on the stardom that came along with it. He said-
“I almost never think about [the show]. It’s a weird thing when you haven’t done something in almost four years. But people will still come up to me and say, ‘I just watched the series for the eighth time, all the way through.’ And I’m like, That’s too much. You’ve gotta move on. Or they speak about the show with such ferocious intensity and passion, and they quote lines that I cannot remember saying.”
He further said-
“And I feel bad because it’s such a part of certain people’s lives. It’s almost like if you had relatives and they only wanted to talk about how you were in the sixth grade. And you’re like, ‘I’ve done a lot of stuff since the sixth grade! I’m getting a PhD here!’ I don’t mean to diminish it or say it was juvenile—but it definitely feels like it was in the past.”
While talking about his experience, Josh Radnor revealed that How I Met Your Mother would always be close to his heart as the series allowed him to live a creative life.
