Jurassic World Dominion: What Will Jeff Goldblum’s Role Will Be In The Sequel
Some way or the other, we always see Jeff Goldblum finding his way to return to the role of the original Jurassic Park’s Ian Malcolm in the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion.
While talking to SFX Magazine, the star of Jurassic Park ( (1993) and later in The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) discussed how Ian’s role in the forthcoming Jurassic Dominion is a kind of callback to the God-playing concerns that he had earlier addressed to John Hammond (played by Richard Attenborough) in the original film.
Here’s what Jeff Goldblum Said:
“I think throughout these last couple of decades, since the incidents in Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, that was a life-changing, death-defying experience,” said Goldblum. “He’s not only proudly more present and appreciative of life itself, but I think he’s more passionately committed to doing what he can to help our species along.”
Jeff Goldblum Will Now Appear In Jurassic World Dominion
Malcolm was previously seen playing a role in an extended cameo in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) where he was seen testifying to the U.S. Senate about perishing the dinosaurs in the Isla Nublar volcanic eruption to correct the mistake made by Hammond. Though Goldblum did not have any screen time with lead stars Chris Pratt or Bryce Dallas Howard, Goldblum did eventually tease how Ian Malcolm and veteran characters like Elle Sattler (played by Laura Dern) and Alan Grant (played by Sam Neill) will cross paths in Dominion. “There is some ignorance afoot with the use of the technology,” said Goldblum. “Malcolm places himself somewhere near those goings-on so I might impact them. We all start collaborating before we intersect and coincide with Owen and Claire for a related reason.”
Jurassic World Dominion also marks a reunion between Neill, Goldblum, and Dern, as the Dern and Neill did not appear in The Lost World while Goldblum was not present in Jurassic Park III (2003). “It was great spending more time with them than I have in the last couple of decade[s],” Goldblum said of reuniting with his Jurassic Park co-stars. “Seeing them recreate their parts, and to take the characters further right there with me, was thrilling.”
