Leonardo DiCaprio has never won an Oscar for a Martin Scorsese movie and it seems like the trend will continue at the 2024 Academy Awards. DiCaprio and Scorsese are one of the most capable and compatible actor-director duos. Together, they have done six feature films and one short film. They have brilliant movies like The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street, Shutter Island, The Aviator, and the most recent Killers of the Flower Moon, in all of which DiCaprio gave stellar performances.

It is not just Martin Scorsese movies. The Academy seemingly has had a tendency to snub Leonardo DiCaprio and ignore his best performances over the years. The fans are frustrated as even when he does get nominated, he never tends to win the trophy. This year, probably the most disrespectful Oscar snub happened in Leonardo DiCaprio’s career, as his role in Killers of the Flower Moon was not even recognized with a nomination by the Academy.

Leonardo DiCaprio missed out on an Oscar nomination again and fans have ceased to act surprised at the continuous snub from the Academy at this point. The Oscar nomination for Leonardo DiCaprio was already looking slim as the SAG Awards snubbed him. It is one thing to lose at the Golden Globes but to not even get a single nomination at SAG is generally concerning. This is because it is extremely rare for an actor to get an Oscar nomination without at least getting a nod from SAG as well.

When Film Updates posted about the snub on X (formerly Twitter), many did not shy away from airing out their disappointment online.

It is almost impossible to believe that an actor of DiCaprio’s caliber has only one Oscar to his name, which is for The Revenant, a movie that pushed him to the edge of his physical and mental well-being. He has one of the most celebrated careers in history but that has not been accompanied by success at the Oscars. Although he has been honored by the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs, and countless other prestigious accolades, it seems like the Oscars simply do not fancy Leonardo DiCaprio.

The alleged couple reportedly met at the premiere of Killers of the Flower Moon at the Cannes Film Festival. They were first linked by Page Six, who saw them going on an ice cream date in LA and an eyewitness reported that there was definitely a “vibe” going on. In September, they were seen dancing in Ibiza, Spain, and a source close to them told the Daily Mail that DiCaprio calls Ceretti his “girlfriend.”

In September itself, they were seen leaving the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana Museum on September 24 with his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken. They were also photographed getting a little frisky and risque at an LA Halloween party, as per photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

In November, an insider told US Weekly that the relationship was going so well that DiCaprio was actually being exclusive with Ceretti. 

“Vittoria is all he thinks about.”

DiCaprio and Ceretti were seen leaving the actor’s 49th birthday bash together. They were spotted enjoying Europe in December and in the New Year, the couple reportedly shared a romantic dinner together at Cipriani in Beverly Hills, California.
