The actor gained a significant fanbase for his role as Kang the Conquerer and was even set for a big movie Avengers: The Kang Dynasty which is now referred to as Avengers 5, to portray the scene-stealing antagonist. However, since Jonathan Majors is no longer Kang, a debate between fans has emerged concerning the recasting of the adversary while there’s a potential for Dr. Doom to enter the MCU.

In this year’s March, Jonathan Majors was arrested for assault and harassment charges for being violent with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Since then, Marvel has been into trouble and almost abandoned the Kang storyline as it looked difficult to the makers to bring the actor back in the MCU. According to THR, after months of his trials, on Dec. 18, a Manhattan jury found Majors guilty, which resulted in his termination from Marvel Studios.

However, a debate has emerged among the fans surrounding the potential debut of Doctor Doom in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the recasting of Kang the Conquerer. Majors’ character was set as a significant antagonist in the coming phase, but his legal dispute ruined the entire storyline. Fans have expressed their concerns via X (earlier Twitter) on a post shared by Discussing Film:

The allegations about the Creed III star led the makers to rethink making Kang the Conquerer a significant part of the MCU and consider delivering a new adversary from the comics like Doctor Doom.

Doctor Doom Could Be The Villain in Avengers 5

Doctor Doom, whose real name is Victor Von Doom, is an incredibly impactful and iconic figure in comic books. Doom was born to a tribe of Latverian Romani people, but since his parents died, he left his place and studied in the United States. This adversary is known for crafting a device that allows communication with the dead and then creating a suit of armor and a metal mask, after which he became the King of Latveria.
