Kaley Cuoco To Voice Harley Quinn In Upcoming Animated Series
The DC universe has found one more Harley Quinn.
The Big Bang Theory Star Kaley Cuoco has been chosen for the anti-hero role in the upcoming Harley Quinn animated series. This was revealed to fans during a surprise first look at the series at the New York Comic Con.
Cuoco is leading the voice cast alongside Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Ron Funches, Natalie Morales, Wanda Sykes, JB Smoove and many others. Many of these artists have already worked for DC before including Funches and Tudyk’s Powerless roles, Esposito in Batman: Assault on Arkham and Meloni in Man of Steel. Esposito even admitted that he would love to play his Assault of Arkham role in Suicide Squad if he’s given the opportunity.
The series doesn’t have a release date yet, as the teaser only featured “coming soon” towards its end but thanks to the synopsis released, we do know what to expect from the series. Harley Quinn will follow Quinn’s life after she breaks up with Joker and starts on to her own adventures in this adult animated comedy. With the help of a crew of DC cast-offs and Poison Ivy, she tries to earn a share in the Legion of the Doom.
“This is just the beginning of our journey to open up the world of DC for our fans,” Craig Hunegs, President, Warner Bros. Digital Networks said in a statement. “With new originals, digital comics, and a growing community forum, we’re delivering an immersive experience that blends page and screen, creating a place where fans can share their passions for their favorite superheroes and storylines like never before.
