Kanye West Helping Elon Musk, One of World’s Richest Men, in Building a Texas Utopia for His Employees
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been venturing into various projects for a very long time. And these projects always seem to have an attention-grabbing element about them. One such example is one of his plans to build an employee-only town in Texas for his employees to live and work.
And reportedly one of the people that is taking part in this plan is none other than Kanye West or Ye. It sounds a bit odd for someone like Musk to partner with a rapper on such a project, but it is not surprising news since their friendship goes back more than a decade.
Moreover, the entrepreneur has had many words of praise for West in the past years before Ye got himself into controversies.
Kanye West To Partner Up With Elon Musk For Building A Colony For Employees
In recent times, due to all the controversies surrounding Kanye West, Elon Musk has kept his distance from the rapper. However, there is no denying that the Tesla CEO seemingly had a good connection with West. The two met back in 2011 and since then there have been many instances of the pair’s interactions.
Not only that but Musk has publicly praised the rapper in the past. The SpaceX founder said in Time Magazine (2020),
“Kanye’s been playing the long game all along,”
Furthermore, the tech mogul also endorsed Ye’s presidential campaign. Therefore it is no wonder that he teamed up with the Praise God rapper among other partners. According to reports, Musk had several meetings with West last year concerning the Texas project.
Additionally, he has also reportedly partnered with his ex Grimes for the same project.
And there seems to be no lack of professionals around the Tesla CEO that would fit the project more. Therefore a partnership with Ye is undoubtedly a head-turning choice for many people.
What Is Elon Musk’s Texas Project Exactly About?
For some time, Elon Musk has been planning to build a whole town exclusive only for his employees. And this project will be based in Bastrop County, Texas. The idea is for his employees to live and work in the same town. The site is also close to where his other company facilities are planning to get built.
These are The Boring Company and SpaceX. According to Wall Street Journal Musk’s plan is to build
“a sort of Texas utopia along the Colorado River”
But as of now, no details are available as to when the project is going to start taking place.
