The actor had a special gift for his Constantine director Francis Lawrence as a thank-you gesture for making the film. The Matrix star paid the prop guy on Constantine to make a replica of the holy shotgun Reeves’ character used in the movie. The 58-year-old later gifted that gun to Lawrence. The original prop was not taken home by Reeves, and it is presumably in a box somewhere in a warehouse of the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The filmmaker called the gift by the John Wick star “the best wrap gift I’ve ever gotten on a movie.” He further explained, “Keanu actually had the prop guy make a second one of these. It’s made of bronze, this thing probably weights 35 pounds. It’s insane.”
The 2005 film has been special for the Speed Star as it was a major hit at the box office. Fans loved Reeves’s character in the movie. It grossed more than $200 million at the global box office in 2005.
