‘Keep crying bigot’: Jordan Peterson Says He Would Rather Die Than Apologize To Elliot Page, Fans Say Good Riddance
Jordan Peterson is known for his controversial remarks on the subject of gender and sexuality. The 60-year-old author has been highly criticised for his conservative comments in the past. However, the vast criticism has not stopped him from holding back his opinions. Recently, he took to Twitter to post transphobic remarks directed towards the Netflix hit series The Umbrella Academy’s actor Elliot Page.
Jordan Peterson disrespects trans actor Elliot Page in a recent tweet, gets banned from Twitter
The Umbrella Academy actor Elliot Page came out as transgender on December 1, 2020, and stated that their pronouns are he/they. In an interview with Time, the actor stated that he had undergone top surgery. However, almost two years later, Jordan Peterson seems to have a problem with Elliot Page’s surgery, due to which the author referred to Elliot by his dead name and used the wrong pronouns to mock his surgery.
The author shared the tweet of the New York Post, which was about Elliot expressing pride over introducing the first trans character, Victor Hargreeves, in the latest season of the show, and stated,
“Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”

Jordan Peterson refuses to take down the transphobic tweet
The author was banned from Twitter because his tweet violated the Twitter Rules and was considered as “hateful conduct” by the company. In a screenshot shared by the author’s daughter, Mikhaila Peterson, Twitter informed him that his account would be restored after 12 hours once he deletes the tweet that violated the rules. However, in an interview with The National Post, the author stated refused to take down the tweet and said that he would ‘rather die’. He further stated,
“I penned an irritated tweet in response to one of the latest happenings on the increasingly heated culture-war front.”
“There are no rules on Twitter except don’t do what we don’t like today. They are always applied post hoc by algorithms and idiots bent on maintaining their woke superiority,” he added.

Twitter users criticize Jordan for his remarks
Twitter users were not happy with the author’s transphobic remarks and refusal to apologise. This is no surprise since the majority of the people have been supportive of Elliot as well as the character he plays in the show.
When will Steven and likes of him will understand that, Twitter is a private company and to use the platform, one has to sign, agree and abide by the ToD, All times!
I don’t make those rules.
Don’t like it, don’t use it. It’s a free world, they are free to choose!

Does this mean when a conservative mutes me its because I am correct and they can't stand to face it?

When will Stevie realize free speech literally only applies to speaking against the govt and guarantees freedom to do so? Has no bearing on private platforms. None. Zilch.
